She was moved to India with her parents when she was just 11 months old so his whole life has been spent in India so she is a very much Indian. She is a very good badminton player but did not wanted to persue his career in sports and she walked the ramp for the first time in an age of 17 as a model.

Hollywood Project
Deepika is all set to make his debut into Hollywood opposite Vin Diesel in a film titled as xXx: The Return of Xander Cage. D. J. Caruso will direct this film which will star Vin Diesel, Samuel L. Jackson, Tony Jaa and Donnie Yen and ofcourse Deepika. This will be the third instalment of the XXX film franchise.
