There has been much gossip going on now a days regarding the release of Udta Punjab. But now the drop seen of the story is that the Bombay High Court has finally directed the censor board to allow the film to release on its expected date after cutting some scenes. Anurag who has written the petition said to court that censor board is doing injustice to him as they have cutted down 12 scenes from the film after that the court ordered to certify films not to censor it as public are their to decide what is right and what is wrong.
So High Court turned down the views of censor board and apart from that one cut in which Shahid Kapoor was urinating the court ordered to allow the film to release. And if we talk about the remaining 12 scenes which was suggested by the censor board to not to be the part of the movie, the court cleared that scenes by ordering the board as they are not the judges the public is the best judge and let them decide. So after all that controversy and all that stuff it has been a gain for the maker Anurag as the court has just ordered 1 seen to be remain uncut and the other 12 has been allowed to be part of the movie.
The makers of the film Phantom has also agreed to remove that particular scene.
About the film Udta Punjab The lawyer of the makers said that they condemn drug abuse infact everyone does and they did not find their movie violating any rule or doing injustice to any state, we have tried to show the public the true picture and so let them decide as they are the true judges.
So Udta Punjab will release on its decided date 17th of June 2016.
