We all know that Shahid Kapoor starrer Udta Punjab was leaked on the web just few days before its release. For that Satyajit Mukherjee from Phantom Films lodged a complaint on 15 June. He also told that the film was uploaded on two different links on Torrent.com.
Mumbai Police started the investigation and his stance is that the original copy was stolen from the Censor Board and than leaked online on the internet. Mumbai Police has arrested a suspect from Mumbai who belongs from the city Delhi named as Deepak Kumar. An officer from Cyber cell of Mumbai Police believes that the original copy was stolen from the censor board and than leaked on Torrent.com by a user robby007.
Police believes that the guy from Delhi Deepak is responsible for all that controversy so they have arrested this guy from Mumbai by Cyber cell of Mumbai Police. The police has booked him under sections of IT Act as well as under Copyright Act.
Mumbai Police special cell which deals with Cyber related affairs is saying that Deepak has stolen the original copy from the censor board and than uploaded on the internet but if we go by our sources than the management of Udta Punjab still believes that its the censor board and its chief behind all that controversy because they believe that the censor board chief has taken this thing as an ego problem.
So whoever is responsible for this only time will tell but the leaking of the film on the internet has done the damage to the film Udta Punjab which is evident by having a strong look onto his sales chart. We wish the makers best of luck and we demand that Mumbai Police should find out the real person behind the leaking of Udta Punjab.
