Well we all know how censor board is treating the upcoming film of Anurag Kashyap, Udta Punjab. The controversy is getting bigger and bigger everyday and not coming to an end. In this difficult time Aamir has came in support of Anurag by saying that he is not liking this thing that Udta Punjab is going through all this mess stuff. The actor said,
“It’s very unfortunate. Pained that the film is going through this. According to my knowledge, the film is based on drug addiction and it delivers a social message. I don’t think there is anything that should be cut or audience should be kept away from seeing. It reflects badly on CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) and I hope the film gets justice at the tribunal.”
Aamir Khan even gone one step further by saying that,
“They should have a free voice to speak. Every Indian should have the right to freedom of speech. I read in media that CBFC has changed and they would certify film. So I’m a bit surprised to cuts being given. I find it shocking to hear.”
Not only Aamir Khan but everyone in the bollywood believes that this is not the correct way how the censor board is reacting now a days. Some even say that who has given the right to the censor board to ban any film or to say to any of the director or producer to cut the scenes, they believe that it takes a lot of effort, hard work, money and dedication to make only one scene and how can one easily say to cut those scenes, let the public decide as they are the best judges.
Well it is not just Aamir Khan, the celebrities associated with the bollywood industry like Mahesh Bhatt, Imtiaz Ali, Kabir Khan, Zoya Akhtar, Arjun Kapoor, Vikram Bhatt, Karan Johar and Farhan Akhtar are also among those who have shown full support in favour of this multi starrer project in which Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will play the lead roles.
